International Beacon Project beacons transmit for ten seconds on each frequency in turn in the sequence shown below. They send callsign at 22 wpm and 100 watts, then four 1-second dashes at 100w, 10w, 1w and 0.1w. Equipment is TS-50, Cushcraft R-5 multiband vertical and a Trimble Navigation GPS receiver to ensure sychronization, with a control unit built by NCDXF. More information on these beacons from the excellent website of the Northern California DX Foundation.
